Welcome to our first blog post at Rent a Car Moticristo!
We decided to launch this project based on the suggestions of our customers, with the aim of helping and informing our visitors on how to make the most of Ericeira, Mafra, Lisbon, and Portugal.
Because when we're on vacation, time is not only limited but also flies by, decisions on how to use it must be made to maximize the experience, and we're here to help you withthat.
We'll be sharing insights through the eyes of locals, what to visit, what to do, where to eat (and drink as well), and where to catch the best sunset (I say ofthe world, but I'll leave that to your opinion).
To get started, let's talk about Ericeira!
Ericeira is a charming coastal village located in the Lisbon region of Portugal, attracting visitors from around the world with its stunning landscapes, beaches, and relaxed atmosphere. Situated about 50 kmsfrom Lisbon (30 minutes), Ericeira combines the charm of a traditional fishing village with the vibrant surf culture.
One of the most striking features of Ericeira is the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, perfect for leisurely walks or simply watching the sunset. There are several beaches to visit, such as Praia dos Pescadores, Praia do Sul, Praia de Ribeira D'Ilhas (our world reserve of surfing), and Praia do Matadouro, among others, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and, of course, surfing.
Ericeira is famous for being one of the best surf destinations in Europe. The consistent and varied waves attract surfers of all skill levels. There are surf schools along the coast where beginners can learn, and experienced surfers can take on exciting challenges.
The historic center of Ericeira is a combination of white and blue houses. With a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, as well as numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops serving delicious Portuguese cuisine. Try fresh fish dishes accompanied by a glass of Portuguese wine; it's unforgettable!
